I stayed at Theatre Residence in the Old Town and loved it! It’s got this chic, artsy boutique style but is still really affordable, especially for the quality you get. The location is a little quieter, which is nice, and it’s close to the river, so you can easily hop on a boat to get to places like the Grand Palace or Wat Arun. The rooms are modern and clean, and there’s a lovely little pool area too. It felt luxurious but didn’t cost a fortune—perfect for a mix of budget and comfort!

I recently stayed at The Yard Hostel in Ari, and it’s perfect if you’re looking for something that feels a bit boutique without the hefty price tag. They have private rooms with a minimalist, eco-friendly vibe, and the whole place has a chill, community feel. Ari is a cool neighborhood too—lots of great cafes, bars, and local markets around, but still peaceful. You get that local experience but with easy access to the BTS to explore the rest of Bangkok. Definitely worth checking out!
