anaI went to Bangkok solo and found it to be very solo-traveler-friendly. It’s safe, and there are plenty of other solo travelers around, especially in areas like Khao San Road and Silom. I’d recommend planning out a few group activities or day tours to meet people—cooking classes, market tours, and temple visits are great for that. Keep an eye on your belongings in crowded areas (as you would anywhere), but other than that, it’s a great city for solo exploring. Plus, Bangkok has a lot of co-working spaces if you’re a digital nomad!
